About

A FEW WORDS…

I was lucky enough to grow up in the studio with world class musicians* and engineers** passing through daily.

I fell in love with music making as soon as I discovered I could create my own stuff. I spent most of my teens watching, learning and absorbing from all the pros and applying it to my own projects, developing a sound that I like to think is a natural and understated approach to recording and production. Since then, I’ve toured the world as a bass player and worked on primetime TV productions as an engineer, but my main focus is writing and producing.

Alongside my personal projects The Odd 910 and 2nd Exit (with Alfa Mist), featuring on tracks under various aliases, including Lester Duval and Lester The Nightfly, and writing for production music libraries, writing and production credits include: Pip Millett, Jordan Rakei, Alfa Mist, Barney Artist, Kwaku Asante, Ella Clayton & more.

I’m a firm believer in sharing knowledge and the idea that a rising tide lifts all boats, so I consider it an honour to be on the staff at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama as part of the Jazz department’s Production Skills course.
